Train Travel in Portugal
Portugal boasts a railway network of over 2,700 km of tracks. The national railway company of Portugal, the Comboios de Portugal (CP), operates several types of trains including the Alfa Pendular, which is the fastest train in Portugal. The train can run at a speed of up to 250 km/h. The Alfa Pendular runs between Braga and Faro passing through Oporto, Aveiro, Coimbra and Lisbon. Other trains in Portugal are the Intercidades, the Inter-Regional, the Regional and the Urbano.
