"The STP made it so easy to travel around this amazing country of Switzerland"

Value for money: 5/5
Ease of use: 5/5
Suitability: 5/5

The Swiss Travel Pass made it so easy - no waiting in line and the train comfort in 1st Class when available was well worth it. We travelled on quite a few of the Scenic Trains in Switzerland and felt the STP was very good value for money

"The 15 consecutive day Swiss Raiil Pass was fantastic value for money allowing travel on trains, steam boats, cable cars, cog trains and chair lifts along with free entry to almost all museums. On private cog trains, gondola's it gave big reductions."

Download the SBB app and you can plan your trips each day before leaving the hotel. Gives platform number. Fantastic value for money. No need to make any reservations. Just jump on the train or boat or bus wherever and whenever you like. Saves so much time as you dont stand in ticket lines at stations. Its so simple. Make as many trips as you like each day. We used the pass countless times every day and were surprised at how much discount we even got on private railways - anything from 50% and 70%. E.g. Klein Matterhorn, Gornergrat and Cimetta. We travelled all over Switzerland easily. Highly recommend it.

"First time we had purchased and used a Swiss pass which was very convenient"

Value for money: 4/5
Ease of use: 5/5
Suitability: 5/5

Spent 14 days in Switzerland and purchased a 15-day consecutive pass (2nd class). It was very convenient and easy to use and enabled us free entry into a number of tourist sights including Gruyeres cheese factory and castle. Saved a lot of frustration in purchasing individual tickets for each sector and would highly recommend. Don't feel that it was necessary to reserve seats on either the Golden Pass or Gotthard Panorama Express and the latter is not panoramic as 50+ km is in a tunnel, would have saved some $$$. Still feel that we had good value.

"Easy to use ,especially with the support of a Swiss Rail blog"

Swiss Rail train managers are wonderful. First example: the WHOLE Swiss Rail system between Luzern and Interlaken failed. No trains could move and we were stuck at Meiringen, beyond Brienz. The managers didn't have any more information than passengers did, but they eventually secured sparkling water for about 200 passengers, then used Post buses to get us to the nearest part of the system which was restored. Second example: on arriving at Andermatt, the manager saw we were going over the Gotthard Pass and came across to our platform during her waiting time for her return to Zermatt,, to check we were OK , One surprising fact: Swiss trains, except the Panorama ones, usually don't have enough space for luggage, and it has to be squashed on seats, as overhead racks are too narrow.

"So convenient for traveling within Switzerland!! "

Value for money: 4/5

The convenience of being able to board pretty much any train and get a seat without reserving or booking. We went up lots of mountains in cable cars which are usually hundreds without the pass. We also went on boat rides over lakes which was beautiful and made the pass worth getting!

"Easy and Convenient travel through Switzerland"

Value for money: 4/5
Ease of use: 5/5
Suitability: 5/5

We travelled as 2 adults with an accompanying child and got the Swiss Family Pass. There was never any problem with the Pass, never any questions asked and we just got on and off trains all over Switzerland with impunity. It was a little expensive, but it was certainly worth it for the amount of time, effort and worry it saved us. I would highly recommend it.

We are a bit disappointed a few museums we expected would accept the pass did not. Wonderful for use on the panorama trains eg benina express and boat trips eg Lucerne cruise on the lake.

"Great for travelling Switzerland"

This worked out well for our three day stay in Zurich. It enabled us to go wherever and whenever we wanted with ease. Either using public transport, ferries, cog railways and trams it covered the lot and no need to try to work out how to purchase tickets etc. Really handy and great value
