Day 1: (Sunday) Board The Ghan in Adelaide
Board The Ghan in Adelaide, heading for the Flinders Ranges and beyond.
Day 2: (Monday) The Ghan, Alice Springs
Wake to an unforgettable outback sunrise at Marla before making your way to Alice Springs.

Day 3: (Tuesday) Leisure Day
Discover Alice Springs at your leisure. (B)

Day 4: (Wednesday) Alice Springs to Uluru
Prepare for one of life’s ultimate travel experiences when you begin your journey to Uluru. Along the way, you’ll visit a camel farm and see majestic Attila (Mount Conner) ahead of a sunset experience at Kata Tjuta.
OVERNIGHT: 2 nights Voyages Sails in the Desert (B)
Day 5: (Thursday) Kata Tjuta and Uluru

Rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee. Then travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between the two of the tallest domes of Kta Tjuta. Return to Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel around the base of Uluru in comfort before continuing by coach to the Kuniya Walk and beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock painting.

Later visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts. In the late afternoon travel to the Uluru suset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset before transferring to the barbecue site to enjoy a true outback experience at the Aussie Barbecue. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, pointing our constellations and explaining Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars. (D)

Day 6: (Friday) Uluru and Kings Canyon
Start the day at leisure or take part in the free activities on offer at the Resort. Later, travel to Kings Canyon.

Day 7: (Saturday) Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for incredible views of Watarrka National Park. Follow the rim of the canyon and, if you have time, descend into the Garden of Eden. Visit Kings Creek Station en route to Alice Springs.

Day 8: (Sunday) Leisure Day
Explore Alice Springs at your own pace. (B)
Day 9: (Monday) Board The Ghan in Alice Springs
Enjoy watching the beautiful scenery pass by your window as you relax aboard The Ghan.
Day 10: (Tuesday) The Ghan, Katherine and Darwin
The landscapes continue to transform as you head towards Katherine and your Off Train Excursion before continuing to Darwin.

Day 11: (Wednesday) Leisure Day
Explore Darwin at your leisure. (B)
Recommended activity: Combine two of Darwin’s premier attractions with one ticket. The flexible Croc N History Explorer ticket gives you entry to both Crocosaurus Cove and the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility. As well as access to the 24 hour Hop On Hop Off Big Bus.
Day 12: (Thursday) Darwin to Kakadu National Park
Travel along the Arnhem Highway to the heart of Kakadu National Park. Visit Warradjan Cultural Centre, cruise Yellow Water Billabong and stop at Nourlangie where you will be guided to ancient rock art galleries.
OVERNIGHT: Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel (B,L)
Day 13: (Friday) Kakadu National Park to Darwin
Explore the World Heritage area of Ubirr, climb up through the ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries to the lookout for the view over the surrounding wetlands. Join the Guluyambi Cruise and go ashore in Arnhem Land. Stop at Bowali Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin.

Day 14: (Saturday) Farewell
Today completes your life-changing two-week adventure. (B)
